Whitechapel Art Gallery

The Whitechapel Gallery is housed in a beautiful Grade II* listed building designed by Charles Harrison Townsend.

It has no permanent collection but hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary and modern art, including conceptual art and installations, pop art, and art incorporating video, film, performance and new media.

Admission is free.

All parts of the Gallery are accessible via level access or lift.

Exhibition and event information is available in large print and on audio tape for visually impaired visitors.

For deaf and hard of hearing visitors there are two British Sign Language interpreted talks during most exhibitions.
