The Fan Museum is located within a pair of Grade II listed buildings built in 1721 and is the only museum in the world devoted entirely to every aspect of fans and fan making.
It houses a collection of more than 3,000 predominantly antique fans from around the world dating from the 11th century to the present day. There is a permanent display which draws on the history of fans and fan making, the materials used and the different types and sources of fans.
The museum possesses the world's most important single collection of fans, fan leaves and related material including many extremely rare and exquisite examples.
Tuesday to Saturday from 11am until 5pm. Sunday from midday until 5pm.
