North London

North London originally consisted of open countryside and satellite villages until the development of the tube in the mid 19th century. 

Today Islington and Camden Town, with its bustling weekend market, contrast with the elegant and unspoilt 18th century villages of Hampstead and Highgate overlooking the 800 acre Hampstead Heath.
